Somatic trauma coach — operator of the Integrate app

These terms govern your use of Integrate, the private app provided by Somatic trauma coach (a solo somatic trauma coaching practice run by Ben Yokoyama) to its own coaching clients. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app — your coaching is unaffected either way.
Who the app is for
Integrate is available by invitation only, to people in an existing coaching relationship with Somatic trauma coach. It is not open to public sign-up. Accounts are created by your coach; you may not share your account or your sign-in details with anyone else.
What the app is — and what it is not
Integrate is not healthcare, and it is not monitored.
It is a notebook you and your coach share. Nobody watches it in real time, no one is alerted by anything you write, and a message written here will not reach anyone quickly. It must never be used to seek urgent help.
If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day.
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical care. Somatic trauma coach does not diagnose or treat any condition, and nothing in the app — including any automatically generated summary — is a medical or psychological assessment. Decisions about your health remain between you and a qualified clinician.
Your content
What you write stays yours. You keep ownership of your entries and your parts map. You grant Somatic trauma coach only the permission needed to store that content and display it to your own coach so the coaching can happen.
Your coach can read your entries and your parts map; they cannot edit or delete them. You can edit or delete your own content at any time, and request a full copy or permanent erasure by emailing ben@benyokoyama.com.
Reminders
Integrate can email you a reminder to check in. These are the terms for that.
- Reminders are off unless you turn them on, and you choose the times.
- They are sent to the address you sign in with, and the subject line says only “Time to check in”.
- The only emails sent are the reminders you asked for. No marketing is ever sent.
- You can change the times or switch reminders off in the app at any time.
- Delivery is not guaranteed. Email can be delayed or filtered as spam, so do not rely on a reminder arriving.
Integrate no longer offers reminders by text message.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law, to attempt to reach another person's account, to probe or disrupt the service, or to upload anything malicious. Do not write about other people anything you would not be willing for them to know you had recorded.
Availability
Integrate is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime. It is a small practice's tool, not critical infrastructure: it may be unavailable, lose a reminder, or change. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending access
You may stop using the app at any time and ask for your data to be deleted. When a coaching relationship ends, your coach can close your account: new entries and reminders stop, and you keep read access to everything you have already written.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Somatic trauma coach is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including any reminder that fails to arrive. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above will change with them, and material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app means accepting the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
